DGAQA · AFQMS ORGANISATION APPROVAL READINESS

Quality assurance
your organisation
can demonstrate.

Build the people, controls and operating evidence behind your DGAQA approval-readiness programme, from incoming inspection through release and failure investigation.

AFQMS READINESS

Connect organisational approval
to the work on the floor.

DGAQA’s Approval of Firm and its Quality Management System (AFQMS), Issue III, August 2024, brings organisational and quality-system requirements together. Start with the approval category, contractual context and activities that apply to your firm.

01

Confirm applicability

Review the intended scope, customer and contract interfaces, existing approvals and the route requiring confirmation with DGAQA.

02

Strengthen assurance

Connect quality planning, incoming and in-process inspection, personnel competence, supplier oversight and release controls.

03

Demonstrate effectiveness

Examine actual records, nonconformities, corrective actions and failure investigations. Prepare the team to demonstrate control and address gaps.

PRACTICAL OUTPUTS

Make the evidence traceable
to a responsible owner.

We work alongside your quality and engineering leaders to develop a scope-led implementation plan. Activities and outputs are selected for your operation and agreed before delivery.

  • AFQMS applicability and gap assessment
  • Quality assurance and inspection workflow mapping
  • Competence, authorisation and responsibility review
  • Supplier and subcontractor evidence controls
  • Release, nonconformity and corrective-action records
  • Readiness review and continuing action register

Keep assurance connected after the review.

SuriyaONE is designed to connect operational records, exceptions and failure analysis so that evidence can be examined across roles throughout the product lifecycle.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Set the right expectations.

Is DGAQA approval the same as AS9100 certification?

They are distinct decisions. AFQMS has its own organisational and quality-system requirements. A scope review establishes how your existing QMS supports the applicable approval route.

Can you secure an approval or influence the decision?

Suriyavaan supports preparation and implementation. DGAQA retains its assessment, surveillance and approval decisions; no delegated authority or guaranteed outcome is implied.

Can a startup begin with an assessment?

Yes. We begin by examining activities, maturity and prerequisites. A gap assessment can identify what needs to be established before an application is appropriate.
