AS9110, AS9120, and AS9100 readiness for Southeast Asian aerospace and MRO suppliers.
Southeast Asia's aerospace base spans three different quality standards at once — maintenance organisations under AS9110C, distributors under AS9120B, and precision manufacturers under AS9100D — often serving the same airlines, OEMs and Tier-1s. Suriyavaan works to whichever standard actually applies to your scope, and builds the evidence those customers audit.

15-Min International Readiness Diagnostic
- Where your quality system stands today, against the standard that actually applies to your scope
- The most likely blockers to customer or OEM approval
- Whether Suriyavaan is the right fit — an honest read, either way
- A concrete next step, whether or not we work together
Suriyavaan supports aerospace and aviation organisations across Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and selected Southeast Asian markets with AS9110C, AS9120B and AS9100D readiness, MRO quality systems, component repair process control, distributor quality systems, supplier-quality strengthening, customer-audit readiness, FAI discipline, configuration control, and competence systems.
Suriyavaan is India-based. No Southeast Asian office is implied. Suriyavaan does not act as a certification body and does not advise on national civil aviation regulatory approvals in any Southeast Asian state.
What Suriyavaan can support for Malaysia & Southeast Asia aerospace organisations.
Scope is stated plainly, so you can tell what is inside the practice and what is not.
AS9110C for maintenance, AS9120B for distribution, AS9100D for manufacture. Organisations whose work has shifted between these often hold the standard that matched them five years ago rather than the one their customers now assess.
Work orders, task cards, the release chain and repair-scheme control: evidence that what was performed matches what was authorised, and that the record proves it.
Amendment status, retention, legibility and how fast the right record reaches an auditor's hand. Correct work with an unprovable record fails an audit the same way incorrect work does.
Source traceability, certificate of conformity control and counterfeit-parts risk for the stockist and distribution layer serving regional airlines and MROs.
Qualification, authorisation scope and continuation training for staff signing releases or performing special processes — evidenced as competence, not attendance.
Documented approval basis for sub-tiers, flow-down of customer requirements, verification criteria agreed in advance, and evidence retained on return.
Preparation against how these customers actually audit: process-owner interviews, evidence sampling, corrective-action history and delivery performance — rather than a document review.
Markets, standards and delivery model.

What usually goes wrong.
These are the patterns that bring Malaysia & Southeast Asia organisations to an advisory rather than to a certification body.
Holding the standard that no longer fits the work
A certificate that matched the business when it was issued, while the actual scope has shifted between manufacture, repair and distribution. Customers assess against the standard that fits the work now.
Airline and OEM audits keep finding the same things
The regulator is satisfied but customer audits are not. The gap is usually records, sub-tier control or competence evidence rather than the technical work.
Records that cannot be produced fast enough
Retrieval is slow or amendment status is unclear, so the record cannot answer the question being asked in the time an audit allows.
Distribution traceability that stops short of source
Certificates of conformity and source traceability adequate for general trade, but not for aviation supply where the chain must reach back to the approved source.
Sub-tier repair sent out without documented control
Specialist repair subcontracted on relationship rather than documented approval, with returning evidence that does not meet clause 8.4.
Entering an OEM or Tier-1 supply chain unprepared
A system that works for regional customers being assessed for the first time by an OEM supplier-development team with materially harder expectations.
Systems transformation, not template consulting.
Five steps. Each one produces something you keep, and each one is designed around what a customer or registrar will actually test.
Diagnostic
Remote. Where the system actually stands, the most likely blockers to approval, and an honest read on fit — before anyone commits to anything.
Gap Map
Each requirement assessed against evidence that exists, evidence that is claimed, and evidence that is missing. Gaps ranked by what blocks approval first.
30 / 60 / 90-Day Roadmap
A dated plan with named process owners. What must be true at day 30, day 60 and day 90 — not a task list handed to the quality manager.
Process Owner Deployment
Each process owner able to explain their process, its measures, its risks and its recent corrective actions without the quality function answering for them.
Mock Audit & Sustainment
The system tested the way a customer or registrar will test it, then the handover that keeps it working after the engagement ends.
How an international engagement is structured.
Remote diagnostics across IST, GST, TRT, JST, ICT and SGT time zones. Best used before a customer audit, certification transfer, certificate recovery, or OEM supplier onboarding — not after.
| Stage | Offer | Format | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 0 | 15-min International Readiness Diagnostic | Remote | Initial fit check — an honest read on whether this is the right engagement, either way |
| Stage 1 | 2-hour AS91XX / OEM Gap Review | Remote | Serious buyers with known gaps who want them named and prioritised |
| Stage 2 | International Flight Plan Workshop | Remote or on-site | Leadership alignment and a dated route map with named process owners |
| Stage 3 | 90-Day Readiness Sprint | Hybrid | Preparation for a specific customer audit, certification event or approval decision |
| Stage 4 | 6–9 Month Advisory Retainer | Hybrid | Full quality-system transformation through readiness, implementation and sustainment |
What organisations in each market usually come to us for.
Southeast Asia is served as one readiness path. The standards are the same everywhere; what differs is the pressure that brings an organisation to the work in the first place.
Qualifying into OEM and Tier-1 programmes
Suppliers positioning for work under the Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030 and Industry Collaboration Programme face customer qualification before award. The work is AS9100D or AS9120B readiness, supplier control under Clause 8.4, FAI discipline and an evidence pack that holds up when the customer audits.
MRO and component repair evidence
Maintenance and component repair organisations serving airlines, lessors and OEMs are assessed on what the hangar and the technical records actually show. The work is AS9110C readiness: maintenance process control, competence and authorisation systems, technical records, and customer-audit preparation.
Holding position inside an established supply chain
Suppliers and distributors already inside demanding supply chains are audited hardest on traceability, counterfeit-parts control and corrective-action effectiveness. The work is AS9120B or AS9100D strengthening, supplier control, and closing findings so they stay closed.
Malaysia & Southeast Asia readiness — common questions.
Does Suriyavaan support aerospace MRO readiness in Malaysia, Thailand and Southeast Asia?
Yes. Suriyavaan supports MRO, component repair, distributor, precision manufacturing, and supplier-quality teams with AS9110C, AS9120B, AS9100D readiness and customer-audit preparation.
Which Southeast Asian countries are included?
Suriyavaan targets selected opportunities in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines through remote diagnostics and workshops by arrangement. Suriyavaan currently does not have a local office in your region. We are fully capable of delivering your engagement in hybrid or fully onsite mode, subject to agreed terms.
What is the best first step for a Southeast Asian MRO or aerospace supplier?
The recommended first step is an International AS91XX or MRO Quality System Diagnostic to identify gaps in process ownership, audit evidence, supplier control, competence systems, FAI discipline, and customer-audit readiness — and to give an honest read on fit before anyone commits.
We do both maintenance and manufacture. Which standard applies?
Potentially both, scoped to different activities. AS9110C covers the maintenance work and AS9100D the manufacturing. The evidence overlaps heavily, so building one well substantially reduces the effort on the other — but the scopes must be drawn deliberately, not by default.
Do you advise on CAAT, CAAM, CAAS or other national aviation regulations?
No. Suriyavaan does not claim national civil aviation authority regulatory expertise in any Southeast Asian state and does not advise on national approvals. Our scope is the quality management system your customers assess, which sits alongside your regulatory approval.
Does Suriyavaan guarantee certification or customer approval?
No. Suriyavaan provides readiness and advisory support. Certification decisions are made by accredited certification bodies, and customer or OEM approval decisions are made by the relevant customer or OEM.
