JISQ9100 / AS9100 readiness support for aerospace suppliers and precision manufacturers.

JISQ9100 is the Japanese edition of the same IAQG 9100 requirement set as AS9100 and EN9100. Where a Japan-linked supplier is asked to demonstrate readiness to a global OEM or an overseas Tier-1, the assessment is made on evidence: process ownership, first article discipline, configuration control, supplier control and the traceability of corrective action. Suriyavaan supports the preparation of that evidence.

Suriyavaan supports Japan-linked aerospace, precision manufacturing, supplier-quality, software, and avionics teams with JISQ9100 / AS9100 readiness, evidence preparation, process discipline, supplier control, FAI readiness, configuration management, customer-audit preparation, and global OEM supply-chain alignment. Engagements are delivered in English, with regional support by arrangement where required.

Suriyavaan is India-based and does not act as a Japanese certification body, registrar, or accreditation authority. Unless otherwise arranged, engagements are conducted in English.

What Suriyavaan Supports

What Suriyavaan can support for Japan aerospace organisations.

Scope is stated plainly, so you can tell what is inside the practice and what is not.

JISQ9100 / AS9100 requirement alignment

JISQ9100, AS9100 and EN9100 are harmonised regional editions of the same IAQG 9100 requirement set. Preparation is made against the requirement; the edition on the certificate follows the registrar's accreditation route.

Evidence preparation and retrieval

An assessment is settled by what can be produced, and how quickly. Preparation covers where each required record lives, who owns it, and whether it answers the question an assessor will actually ask.

Process ownership and defensibility

Each process has a named owner able to explain the process, its measures, its risks and its recent corrective actions without reference to a central quality function.

First Article Inspection readiness (AS9102)

Balloon-to-report traceability, correct form selection, and the change conditions that require a re-FAI. A recurring source of findings on first delivery into a new supply chain.

Configuration management

Verifiable propagation of engineering change to the shop floor, the inspection plan, the FAI status and the sub-tier. Where the chain is informal, it is not auditable.

Supplier control under clause 8.4

Approval basis for sub-tier suppliers, flow-down of customer and regulatory requirements, agreed verification criteria, and retained evidence of conformity on return.

Software and avionics process alignment

Where CMMI, DO-178C or DO-254 practice sits alongside the aerospace quality system: documentation evidence, engineering discipline and auditability across both.

Coverage & Delivery

Markets, standards and delivery model.

Coverage is by arrangement and delivered remotely from India. Listing a country does not imply a local office, local legal or regulatory expertise, or a local certification-body relationship.

Problems We Fix

What usually goes wrong.

These are the patterns that bring Japan organisations to an advisory rather than to a certification body.

Assessment Risk

Evidence exists but is not retrievable

The system is operated correctly, but the record an assessor asks for takes time to locate or does not directly answer the question. Assessment outcomes turn on this more often than on the practice itself.

Ownership Risk

The quality function answers for every process

Where the quality manager answers questions that belong to production, engineering or purchasing, an assessor reads the system as centrally documented rather than operationally owned.

First Article Risk

AS9102 packages returned for correction

Traceability between the drawing balloon and the report is incomplete, the form selected does not match the change, or a re-FAI condition was not recognised.

Configuration Risk

Change that does not reach every affected record

An engineering change reaches production but not inspection planning, FAI status or the sub-tier — surfacing later as parts built to a superseded revision.

Supplier Risk

Sub-tier approval without a documented basis

Long-standing sub-tier relationships operating without recorded approval criteria or verification evidence, which does not satisfy clause 8.4 on review.

Alignment Risk

Overseas customer expectations differ from local practice

A system entirely adequate for the domestic supply chain being assessed for the first time against an overseas OEM's supplier-development expectations.

The Method

Systems transformation, not template consulting.

Five steps. Each one produces something you keep, and each one is designed around what a customer or registrar will actually test.

Step 01

Diagnostic

Remote. Where the system actually stands, the most likely blockers to approval, and an honest read on fit — before anyone commits to anything.

Step 02

Gap Map

Each requirement assessed against evidence that exists, evidence that is claimed, and evidence that is missing. Gaps ranked by what blocks approval first.

Step 03

30 / 60 / 90-Day Roadmap

A dated plan with named process owners. What must be true at day 30, day 60 and day 90 — not a task list handed to the quality manager.

Step 04

Process Owner Deployment

Each process owner able to explain their process, its measures, its risks and its recent corrective actions without the quality function answering for them.

Step 05

Mock Audit & Sustainment

The system tested the way a customer or registrar will test it, then the handover that keeps it working after the engagement ends.

International Engagement Model

How an international engagement is structured.

Remote diagnostics across IST, GST, TRT, JST, ICT and SGT time zones. Best used before a customer audit, certification transfer, certificate recovery, or OEM supplier onboarding — not after.

Every stage is remote unless stated. On-site workshops are arranged separately and quoted before booking.

Frequently Asked

Japan readiness — common questions.

Does Suriyavaan provide JISQ9100 / AS9100 readiness support for Japan-linked aerospace suppliers?

Yes. Suriyavaan provides advisory support for JISQ9100 / AS9100 readiness, audit evidence, process ownership, supplier control, FAI readiness, configuration management, and customer-audit preparation.

Does Suriyavaan act as a Japanese certification body?

No. Suriyavaan provides advisory and readiness support. Certification decisions are made by accredited certification bodies. Suriyavaan holds no Japanese registrar or accreditation-authority role.

Is the Japan support delivered in Japanese?

Unless otherwise arranged, Suriyavaan engagements are delivered in English. Regional language support or professionally reviewed Japanese summaries may be added where required. This should be agreed before an engagement begins rather than assumed.

How does JISQ9100 relate to AS9100 and EN9100?

They are harmonised regional editions of the same IAQG 9100 requirement set — JISQ9100 in Japan, AS9100 in the Americas, EN9100 in Europe. The requirements correspond. Which edition is issued depends on the accreditation route of the certification body.

Can Suriyavaan support software and avionics teams as well as manufacturing?

Yes, where CMMI, DO-178C or DO-254 practice intersects with aerospace quality expectations, engineering discipline, documentation evidence and auditability. Suriyavaan does not perform DO-178C certification activity or act as a Designated Engineering Representative.

Does Suriyavaan guarantee certification or customer approval?

No. Suriyavaan prepares the system and the evidence. Certification decisions rest with the accredited certification body; customer and OEM approval decisions rest with the relevant customer or OEM.
